Why do diamond blades easily cut reinforced concrete? When cutting rebar within reinforced concrete, the blade maintains high performance for a longer time. This is due to the alternation between cutting pure metal (rebar) and pure concrete. Concrete contains abrasive sand particles that "open" the glazed surface of the blade formed after cutting the metal.
