The speed of dry cutting wet concrete

The speed of dry cutting wet concrete increases several times.
This is due to three factors:
-
Wet concrete softens, making it easier to cut.
-
Moist concrete efficiently dissipates heat from the diamond blade, preventing the bond from softening too much and allowing the diamond grains to stay exposed.
-
Moisture creates a wet abrasive slurry in the cutting zone, which additionally helps to expose the diamond layer.
However, it is important to note that while cutting speed increases, the blade’s lifespan decreases accordingly.
